This not because of any star quality, but simply because his fans have a brilliant strategy:
Whip up sentiments with “hating on” and then come with “anti-haters” backlash.
Before long a false binary is created. It’s Laycon vs. Others.
The trick of “misrepresenting” Laycon as “poor”, and then “pity votes” plus the whole “Laycon never said he’s poor” outrage? All contrived a.f.
Everything you see said about Laycon is arranged, packaged and presented by Laycon’s handlers.
The latest trick is this “Who is this yeye Laycon sef” by morning. By evening the same person will still come and say “Haaa! Laycon’s fans are so much oh! They are dragging me upandan. I didn’t know people loved Laycon like this oh!”
All na strategy. A lot of people would vote Laycon because they believe he will win. They’d not want to “waste vote”.
Brilliant strategy.
Even I have played into it. There are people who will vote Laycon just from reading this update.
So yes, Laycon would most likely win, unless something unexpected happens.
But not because he deserves to win.
The only person in that house who DESERVES to win is NENGI.
So if she doesn’t eventually win, she’s most likely going to be the “winner”.
Just like it was with Ebuka, like Uti in his first BBA outing, like Tayo, like Bisola and even Tacha.
If she doesn’t walk away with the N85m, she will end up making way more than the monetary prize in terms of clout, cash and future exposure.
I would like for either of these two to win because they meet the criteria for winning.
Laycon, through his fans and Nengi by sheer hardwork, grit, intelligence and focus.
Her “old woman” faux pas with that toxic female aside, Nengi is a graceful, sincerely top notch person. Even the clumsy way she quarrelled with that Ojuelegba vixen shows that she’s not someone with experience in yard fights like that Oshodi Isale thug.
