    DIY: How To Make Pancakes

    A pancake is a flat cake often thin and round. Prepared from a starch based batter that may contain eggs, milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as gridlde or frying pan often fry with oil or butter. It is a type of batter bread.

    Ingredients

    1 cup flour

    Two eggs

    1 Teaspoon milk

    ยน/ยฒ cup of water

    ยน/โด tsp salt

    2 tsp butter, melted

    Methods

    In a bowl, combine flour, butter and eggs. Gradually add milk or water, stirring to consolidate.

    Add salt and beat to smooth till you get a running consistency.

    Heat oiled iron pan on medium high heat. Pour the batter over the frying pan using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.

    Tilt the dish in a circular motion so that the batter evenly coat the surface.

    Fry the pancake for about 2minutes until the base is lightly golden and bubbles appear on the dough.

    Release with a spatula, flip and repeat on opposite side.
