It was a glorious moment for parents and Cadets to cherish as members of the 64 Regular Course of Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force (NA, NN, NAF), 65 Regular Course of Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force (NN, NAF) and Short Service Course 44 of Nigerian Army (NA) of the Nigerian Defence Academy, were formerly commissioned as Officers of the Nigeria Army, Navy and Air Force respectively.
The occasion under the distinguished Chairmanship of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari represented by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, was graced by Chiefs of the Armed Forces, officially witnessed by the National Commandant, Amb. (Dr) Dickson A.O. Akoh of the REAL Peace Corps of Nigeria – not the duplicate, and a few other specially invited corps. Other highly placed dignitaries fully represented were the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara and a host of others.
Amb. Akoh used the occasion to discuss with Chiefs of the Nigeria Army, Navy and Air Force to further cement growing relationships between the Corps and the forces.
Again, this is the diligent drive of a corps with a purpose for the entirety of Nigeria youth. If it isn’t the Peace Corps of Nigeria, it could never be the Nigerian Peace Corps.
