    How To Make Peppered Snails

    Ingredients

    *Snails

    *Red bell peppers

    *Garlic cloves

    *Cayenne pepper

    *Ginger

    *Onion flakes or Onion bulbs

    *Paprika powder

    *Seasoning cubes

    *Lemons or limes

    *Vegetable oil

    *Salt

    Procedure

    *Start by removing the snail from it shell, transfer into bowl followed by the lemon juice, then wash until the slimming is off totally. Then wash.

    *Poor the washed snails in a cooking pot and season with salt, onions, seasoning cubes, water and stir. Cover to cook for 30-40 minutes or until tender.

    *In a blender, pour in the cleaned red bell peppers, garlic cloves, Cayenne peppers, ginger and blend roughly. Do not add water.

    *Check on the snails which has been cooking for 20minutes. Once it’s tender, you can fry in an oil or grill in an oven for 350 degree for 10minutes. Make sure you do not grill or fry the snails dry.

    *In a pan, add in some oil and once it is hot add the blended peppers, onions flakes, paprika powder, seasoning cubes and a little bit salt. Then stir together to combine. Fry the sauce for 5-10 minutes after which you test and adjust seasoning if necessary.

    *Afterwards, transfer the cooked snails into the sauce and stir very well until all the snails marinades with the sauce then let it cook for 3-5minutes. Then turn off the heat. Garnish with diced onions.

    *Serve and enjoy with sweet palmwine or any drink of your choice.
