Iwobi deletes all his pictures on Instagram as fans continues to drop h@te comments on the old photos.
This is actually sad. We can do better.
I don’t know what to say between the extremity of fans and the need for Iwobi to develop thick skin and just ignore these things rather than allow it to get to him.
Unfortunately, I think it is easier for Iwobi to ignore than to get the fans to behave well. There will always be fans that will insult you in football, sadly.
Iwobi has done well for Nigeria. You cannot accuse him of not giving his best. His best may not be enough but what else should he have done?
I think fans also need to recognize that these footballers need this more than us. It is not for lack of giving their best. Someone else’s best was just better.
