Ojude Oba festival, a significant cultural event in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, is currently taking place, attracting visitors from across the globe.
The festival is traditionally held annually just after Eid-al-Adha, the festival honors the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Known for its vibrant celebration, the festival features a dazzling array of colourful attire worn by various age groups known as ‘regberegbe’. Attendees are treated to thrilling horse-riding competitions and an array of rich cultural performances, showcasing the heritage and traditions of the ijebu people.
As the festival continues, it remains a pivotal event, drawing global attention and celebrating the cultural wealth of Ijebuland.
