RIDE ON tells the story of a former master Hong Kong stuntman and his stunt horse, played by Jackie Chan. The film depicts some of the struggles and sacrifices made by stuntmen to entertain us in films. There was a scene in which Jackie Chan was watching some of his craziest stunts in films such as Project A, Who Am I, The Legend of Drunken Master, Super Cop, Police Story, Armour of God, and others. I’m surprised that he still gets some moves despite his old age.
The film will make you appreciate stuntmen, and I see it as a farewell to Jackie Chan, who has done well as a stuntman. Most actors who fought for real and risked their lives by really racing a fast car and riding a wild horse like him in the heyday of kung fu films are no more active.
