Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai has declared that Nigeria is presently safer and more secured than it was 5 years ago.
Buratai disclosed this during a sit-out with soldiers who were injured during their duties against rebellion and receiving medical attention at the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna. He also commended them for being patriotic.
In his words:
“I am very happy to see you, having meeting some of you in the battle fields, you were determined to pay the supreme prize. This is the true spirit of a gallant soldier and a patriot.
I am very proud you have made the impact that some of our colleagues and Nigerians are safe and I am equally happy that we are living in peace and Nigeria is safer now that we had five years ago “.
