The VERY PAINFUL irony of this whole Mike Ejeagha social media trend is that NONE of them has ever truly reflected on the money coming to the legendary folklorist as royalties from those creative works of his.
In simple English, even if the whole world is streaming his music now, it DOES NOT reflect on the royalty the Omekagu crooner is CURRENTLY receiving from those songs.
Since the popular skit-maker, Brain Jotter (who by the way, is just leaving Ejeagha’s house as I type) started the current trend using “KA ESI LEE ONYE ISI OCHE”, all his songs have been receiving more traffic as they always do each time he trends on social media but sadly, it doesn’t really reflect on Ejeagha’s pocket.
