I hung out with a group of friends yesterday at Canary World Lounge in Festac.
I found it fascinating that five of them, who are married and in the same age bracket as me, came with their gorgeous side chicks.
I was the single bachelor in their midst, and ironically, I did not come with a partner.
Thinking about that hangout
Three things struck me.
1) It is only on Facebook that Nigerian single women don’t date married men; the reality is different offline.
2) My generation of men has taken over the baton of the sugar daddy crown from our fathers and is now the new sugar daddy in town in our 30’s.
Interesting
But more than this
3) It appears that Nigerian young married men possess more confidence, more steaze, and are more attractive to Nigerian single women compared to the single men demographic.
Because married men have more steaze, that is why a 35-year-old married man is likely to have multiple side chicks and a wife at home, whereas the single men’s demographic, to which I belong, cannot even boast of a babe, let alone a side chick.
Married meh dey enjoy sha; because na babes dey rush them now.
As a people, we are living in an interesting, extraordinary time.
