How To Protect Your Crypto Assets

It’s good i put these out, to save people.

This will be a 2-in-1 post.

1. If you use decentralised wallets like TrustWallet etc, kindly turn on Hide small balances. Some other advance wallets could even tell you to choose how much you regard as small balances e.g $5.

This is because, there are malicious nodes out there, their job is to create almost similar wallets addresses like the address you send to frequently, and when you go unto your wallet to copy that address in order to make a transaction, you might make a mistake of copying the erratic address and when this happens, it will be loss on your part as you’d be sending free crypto to the malicious address.

This is exactly what happened to this person that contacted me on Wednesday, he lost almost $500 to a wrong address (Photo 1 Attached).

2. Photo 2 (attached), this is popular on twitter and telegram. People randomly sends you a DM with their pass phrase asking you to login or even withdraw the balance there because they are having difficulty doing it.

When you do, you’d for a fact see money inside e.g a USDT on Ethereum chain or any token on BSC, the wallets are usually scrappers, once you send in the native token in other to pay the fees to enable you withdraw the token, it will instantly scrape off your deposits, you can try as many times as possible no matter how fast you are, it will scrape off the deposit– they do this with bots.

Beware.
