Assassination Attempt On Donald Trump At A Political Rally

I know it’s still early.

But I don’t think the assassination attempt was staged.

  1. Trump was shot in the ear, a few inches and it would have been a succesful (and likely fatal) headshot.
  2. For a staged shooting to get exactly his ear and not kill him, the shooter has to not only have military training, he would be extremely good as a sniper.

We await the details of the shooter and find out what his background was.

  1. Another spectator was killed.
  2. The shooter is dead. It doesn’t make sense, unless he already planned to sacrifice himself.

Even at that, for an election where victory is not guaranteed?

People don’t know how easy it is to access very advanced weapons in America.

People don’t know how difficult it is to guard the President of any country.

An assassin has to be lucky just one time to change the course of history.

Trump is not the first.

Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley in 1981 and was only lucky to survive. He went on to rule America for another seven years.

John Kennedy was not so lucky. He was shot and killed during a visit to Dallas in 1963. The official account is that the assassin was Lee Oswald although many believe in a wider conspiracy.

John Kennedy’s brother, Robert Kennedy was shot and killed in 1968 by Sirhan Sirhan after he (Robert) won the nomination for the Democrat party.

William McKinley was assassinated in 1901 by Leon Czolgoz

James Garfield was assassinated in 1881 by Charles Guiteau.

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in 1865 by John Wilkes Booth, a confederate sympathiser whose movement Lincoln crushed during the American civil war years earlier.

Of all the 45 Presidents America has had;

Seven (7) have been shot at (including Trump)

Four (4) have been killed.

Calling the assassination attempt at this early stage is actually being intellectually lazy.
