Since most of us have seen ACRIMONY, we can now talk about it.
1) She gave him everything.. her inheritance, all of her youthful years, and when he finally got the chance, he didn’t do the the same for her.
2) She made his dream (The Battery), her dream, she put her ambitions in second place, so he could pursue his.
3) No doubt, he paid the dues for his dreams, but he did it with a lot of her time and all of her money.
4) She couldn’t birth kids of her own, because of him.
5) $10million dollars is a lot more than the physical cash she spent on him, but nothing compared to all she invested in him.
6) 18 years is more than enough to put up with anybody’s selfish behavior. Her getting a divorce after all those years was fully justified.
7) She shared in his pains all those years, but he hardly bothered about her personal battles.
8) Even if he had to move on, it shouldn’t have being that same girl and it shouldn’t have been so soon.
9) IMPORTANT: In life people would hurt you, but no matter how much time and emotions you have invested, YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHEN TO LET GO!
10) Most times, trying to get even, or revenge, causes a person more pains and heartache, than just leaving it to God and simply ‘MOVING ON’.
11) We can talk about Taraji’s ANGER ISSUES as a character flaw she should have worked on, but we shouldn’t use it to justify Roberts actions of not fighting to have her back.
12) Her sister’s suffered from her anger more than Robert did, she herself suffered from her anger more than Robert did.
13) When Robert squandered all her money, she never got angry. When he blew up the electrical system of the whole house and she spent the last $37k or so to fix it, she still didn’t go off.
14) The only accounts of her anger on Robert, are when she suspected he was cheating.
15) ARE WE REALLY GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT SHE’S A RIDE OR DIE, JUST BECAUSE OF THIS 1 CHARACTER TRAIT?
16) Isn’t that the whole point of a relationship, to use our STRENGTH for our partner and trust them to be patient with us when we’re weak?
17) Yes- if Taraji was my sister, I would have knocked sense into her head a long time ago and teach her how to let go.
18) Let’s be real here, how many of us would allow our younger sister ride for a guy for 18 years and not feel like protecting her.
19) The new chic (DIANA) would never loose all her inheritance or life savings for Robert. Yes, she pushed the deal through, but if it didn’t work for a year or two, she would have bounced.
20) HERE’S MY CONCLUSION: Robert should have paid the new chic $10million dollars for making the battery deal go through, then go back and FIGHT for Taraji, and do for her everything he always promised. That right there is- LOYALTY!
