Suspected armed robbers numbering two were on Wednesday, 3 January 2018 burnt to death by angry mobs after they were caught by youth in Obong Itam, Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
An eyewitness who spoke with Brain news Radio on condition of anonymity said the suspected robbers, on the early hours of Wednesday, attacked one Mr Jones Akpan, shot him in the hand before disposing him of cash and other valuables.
Brain news Radio also gathered that the victim raised an alarm immediately the robbers had left which attracted youths of the area who have been keeping vigil due to incessant attacks in the community.
