Sen Bamidele pleaded to President Bola Tinubu to Assist in Ekweremadu’s Release
Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele, the lawmaker representing Ekiti Central has called on President Bola Tinubu to deploy a diplomatic shuttle to ensure the release of the embattled former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to nine years and eight months in the United Kingdom.
He made the call in his remarks at the valedictory session for the outgoing senators of the 9th Senate.
Ekwremadu, who represented Enugu West district in the 9th National Assembly was sentenced for organ trafficking in May 2023
