I have visited 28 states of Nigeria and 31 countries of the world. Of all the places I have visited, here are the top places with the best food according to my taste bud.

  1. Ibadan.

There is one joint at Challenge junction that sells Amala and Ewedu… that place changed my life.

I remembered taking bike from my hotel inside GRA just to go buy Amala and Ewedu. Whenever I find myself in Ibadan, that’s my joint.

  1. Benin City.

I have one joint at Adesuwa for black soup and starch, it’s so good that whenever I’m travelling and passing Benin, I’ll break my journey to buy black soup and starch, eat and take some home.

  1. Akure.

Oh my world… guys, I ate the best moimoi and Ogi in Akure. It was a local woman that was contracted to make breakfast for the event and God, that woman has magic in her hands.

  1. Jos.

Aside the very good weather, it was in Jos I ate the best Massa and Ram suya. Josites you people are hiding some very vital secrets that is important for the growth of this nation. You can’t have that sort of treasure and keep it a secret. The Massa and the ram suya is so good that whenever I see myself in Jos, my friends knows that’s what I’ll be eating through out my days in Jos.

  1. Enugu.

Enugu makes the best Okpa, I am ready to go to court for this. If I am to marry an Igbo man, he must be from Enugu and he must employ someone to be making Okpa for me morning, afternoon, evening. The day he stops that, we head to court for divorce. You can’t take away my life source and expect me to be happy.

  1. Benue State.

If you’re thinking of roasted yams, you’re thinking of Benue state. I don’t know the Incantation they made on the soil to plant yams that makes their yams comes out tasting like sugar, then you will see these food hawkers along the road selling these roasted yams… whenever I’m travelling and know I’ll pass through Benue, I usually buy a bottle of water and keep it handy then hold 2k in my hands. Yes, I am among these shameless passengers struggling for yams from luxurious buses at Uturkpo.

  1. Port Harcourt.

If you have never tested the ground breaking roasted Bole and fish of port Harcourt, how can you defend your citizenship as a Nigerian?

There are some things I consider blasphemous, being a Nigerian and never eaten Port Harcourt roasted fish and Bole should amount to at least 3 months imprisonment.😕

ABROAD.

  1. Abidjan😁

If you ask me to describe heaven, I will describe roasted pork, with chilli and onions and Attieke. God bless the person who invented that meal. May their offspring dominate the earth!

If you think you have eaten barbecue fish, or pork or ram or chicken, visit Abidjan and you will have a different definition of barbecue.

  1. Ethiopia.

I ate raw meat in Ethiopia but it wasn’t my favourite. Yes… Ethiopian eats raw meat as a tradition…

The Ethiopian Injera has this slappy lime taste that when you scoup curry source with it and eat it, you will be thinking of how to hack into immortality so you can be here for the next 1000 years to eat Injera. Injera is heaven and whenever I’m booking a flight, I try to book Ethiopian airline and select the flight with long layover so I can stay in Addis Ababa to eat Injera.

  1. Ghana.

I know you’re thinking I’ll mention Kenke… but no… Keke is good but it is not something that will make me look forward to visit Ghana for.

I’ve been to Ghana more than 20 times, there is this cassava biscuits that makes me cry in appreciation to God. I don’t know the name but it is so good that when I see it, I buy extra to keep me for a while.

  1. India.

Alughobi, I can’t remember spelling it well. It’s a curry soup made with cheek peas and eaten with chapatti with lots of garlic. Meeeehn… it was so good that while I was in India, if we go to a restaurant, I ask for take out. India was the first country I visited and was rushed to the hospital because I had constipation.😂

I ate like a homeless child.🤣

  1. Mexico

We all know Mexico is the home of tacos… yes, but you need to understand that I was there for almost 6 months. So I ate enough tacos to tell you which is the real tacos and the best spot.😋

There is a place in Micheocan called Kiroga.
This place has the best tacos in the whole of Morelia.

Thinking about it brings tears to my eyes…

The tacos is so good and undescribeable. If you visit Morelia in Micheocan, the locals would tell you to go to Kiroga and get the best tacos of your existence.

Also there is another joint at the city centre that is a little good but the tacos at Kiroga are phenomenon.

  1. Cameroon.

The roasted ram suya in Cameroon is an experience on its own. It is cheap, it is so much and the spices are quite different from what I’m used to here.

I don’t know what it’s called buy its roasted with lots of fat… it was so good.

  1. France.

I ate one cake, I didn’t ask for the name but I bought it from a bakery just after the louvre museum.

I also ate a different kind of salad.

  1. Budapest in Hungary.

My friend prepared the Hungarian traditional Gulash for me. I had to buy some the ingredients home but it didn’t taste like the one he made.

I have told him to look for billionaires in Hungary so I can marry and have Hungarian cooks to make me Gulash.

There are other places that I ate good food but these food are from foreign restaurants, like in Qatar, we ate foods from a Philippino restaurant, a Sri Lankan Restaurant and a Parkistani restaurant… these food were so good that I will visit Doha again before this year runs out.

When I visit a place, I like to explore the food and eating these food made me realised that there is so many beautiful things life has to offer.
