Early life and Education
Edochie hails from Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State and is married to Josephine Edochie. He attended St. Patrick’s and St. James Primary School, Zaria, and later proceeded to St. John’s College for his secondary education. He also studied at the School of Journalism and Television in England.
Career
Pete Edochie began his career in radio broadcasting in 1967 at the age of 20. He worked as a junior programs assistant and later became a director. He quit Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) due to government interference and joined the movie industry. He gained international recognition for his role in the Nigerian Television Authority adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s novel, Things Fall Apart.
