Nobody saw an Omah Lay and Davido collab coming if we’re being sincere.
They’re both very different artistically.
I feel the song with Omah Lay was one of those materials on the album that was a lesser priority, since it deviated from Davido’s style.
Cos Davido often features artists with vibrant energy for bangers. He has a type.
It might be that the song was a chance to share his platform with Omah in the spirit of ‘we rise by lifting others’.
Not saying nwoke PH city is a small artist.
But I doubt OBO was counting on a song with Omah to blow the way it did.
He probably had his eyes on the other tracks he released as singles that favoured his own style.
Whether we agree or not, “With You” is the icing on the cake for the album 5ive.
The public has been giving heavy attention not just to the track, but especially to Omah’s parts in the track you’d think it’s his own.

That said, he has no reason to make depressing, heartbreak posts as he usually does around his album release. I heard he’ll be dropping on May 16th.
