While I’m happy about their link up, low key I thought about the fact that Mr. P and his twin didn’t extend the same grace to other artistes.

Waje wasn’t given a proper rollout in the 2007 hit ‘Do Me’.
She wasn’t credited in the song title, until she expressed her disappointment via the media.
In a 2018 Vanguard interview she said, “I didn’t have the spotlight on me after ‘Do Me’. If you remember I wasn’t in the video and a lot of people didn’t know I was the one.”
If we’re to call a thing, a thing; we didn’t see the twins validate a lot of talents in the game when they were headlining shows, winning international awards, and selling out arenas across Africa.
I mean, P-Square kept the attention centered on their family circle, rarely sharing it with lesser-known artists.
They preferred to work with stars on their league or those way bigger.

Yes, it wasn’t their responsibility to bring new artistes to the limelight.
But now we see Mr. P (whom I love) basking in Burna Boy’s presence and loving the support.
It’s like saying, I didn’t need to do that when I was on top, but now the tables are turned and I’m trying to build a solo career, I need validation from someone more successful.
And that for me is a little hypocritical even though I’m team Mr. P.
