So today I craved for Shawarma, I thought I will be a good idea getting one when I close from work. On my way home, I decided to make a stop at an eatery and get the Shawarma.
As I approached the entrance, the Female security at the door gave a very very wide yawn as she opened the door on seeing me. I was touched as so many thoughts ran through my mind (Are you sure she has had anything to eat today?….Are you sure she have money to feed on?)
I immediately stopped and approached her with the best smile I could decipher then I asked.
Me: Hello how are you?
Security: Am fine Sir.
Me: What would you like me to get for you at the counter?
Security: (Shamed) Sir anything you wish. (With a better smile)
*Her smile looks better than mine*
Me: (With the best smile I could give) What do you say about rice?
Security: Sir anything eatable will be nice.
I winked her and made for the counter.
When I got to the counter, I paid for the Shawarma and ordered for Rice, Chicken(drumstick), Salad and Water.
As I waited to have the rice microwaved, I thought I should ask her if it’s professional for her to eat while on duty. Unfortunately she said ‘No’ that she will be penalized for that. She further said I should rather give her the money or pay for it at the counter so later on she can get the money from them. But then she said they’re likely to refuse her if she demand for the money.
It was then I went back to the counter and decline the order.
Minutes later, my shawarma is ready. I played to her request as I gave her the monetary value of what I initially ordered for her. Wow you should see the joy written all over her. make I see her
