Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State and a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), remarked during a meeting that “something interesting is happening in the party today” because all 13 PDP governors were there.
He admitted that everyone had problems before the election and that they should begin mending fences among themselves. But he recognised the value of the committee’s hard efforts on behalf of the party.
He claimed, “Today, something interesting is happening here.” There are currently 13 PDP governors, and they are all here today. I’d want to thank everyone who made it to the meeting, either in person or by their representatives. This illustrates how seriously you’ve taken the retreat. Also, I’d want to give my thanks to the newly elected members of the Senate and House of Representatives who will be taking office next week. There are no longer any gubernatorial electors, and instead each state has an executive governor with a veto pen.
Also, I’d want to thank the national party elders and leaders who are here today. People from all throughout the party, including the NWC and other branches, are gathered here today. Well, I’m here to deliver a good morning message on behalf of the PDP’s governors and my other colleagues. I want to bring up an important point. The election was a snafu to begin with, and whether we like to acknowledge it or not, we had our differences during the election, but you know what? It’s time to begin the mending process, and that time is now.
