Ofe Nsala(White Soup)
This is a mouth watering delicacy peculiar to the Igbo tribe of Nigeria especially people of Anambra State. It is also called white soup because Palm oil is not used for the preparation. The proper thickner used for Ofe Nsala is pounded yam.
Ingredients:
*Meat
*Dry fish
*Grounded crayfish
*Yam
*Uziza leaf
*Maggi
*Salt
*Pepper
Preparation;
1. Wash the meat and parboil with seasoning
2. Peel the yam, wash and boil in a separate pot. When soft, pound or mash till turns to a paste
3. Add more water, dry fish, Maggi,salt, pepper into the meat pot.
4. Add the mashed yam, allow it to dissolve properly, stir allow to cook
5. Add Uziza leaves to it and cook for 3-5minutes.
6. Serve with Eva, Semovita or fufu.
