Harrowing House Hunting Tales

You might think looking for a house is easy but if you are an African living in Nigeria’s biggest city, Lagos, apparently the reverse is the case. A young man took to X (Twitter) to narrate his harrowing experience job hunting.

Yesterday I went to inspect a house somewhere in Badore,Lagos. On my way to the apartment I felt a shock run all over me like a flash. I discarded it as reflex. When I finally stepped into this house, immediately I saw myself standing in a temple in India.

The temple was way bigger than the apartment in Lagos I had stepped into. And as I looked around, I started seeing inscriptions on the walls and on the ground. Mostly made of circles, triangles and stars. 🔯✡️ something like these symbols in a circle frame.

As I looked closer, I saw writings on the walls and somehow, I could read and understand them. I saw phrases like “This house is protected”, “this kitchen will not lack food”, “prosperity lives in this house” etc. to be honest, the writings were positive but it felt like bait.

There was such a dark aura in the environment that I almost couldn’t breathe. Immediately I felt like I needed to use my inhaler and I snapped back to Lagos Nigeria standing in the sitting room of that apartment. As a spiritual man, I decided to walk around within and outside the apartment. When I stepped to a corner at the back of the house, I saw a grave and asked who was buried there. They said it’s the owner of the apartment. I said okay and we left. By this time the spiritual curiosity in me has been triggered to the max. I was very unsettled.

As we exited the property, I heard the word “HISTORY” very clearly in my spirit. I told the guys let’s go back inside. I demanded to see an occupant who has been there for a while. I had just one question to ask the fellow. Long story short I was sitting with this middle aged sis.

She started talking about light, security, area, bla bla bla…I was mute all the while deep down scanning my spirit to pick that one question that will open the canister. I eventually found it. The question was, “How many children did the previous occupant of this house have?”

She sighed, then bowed her head and said one. Apparently a family had lived there previously and had their first baby in the house. The child came out an imbecile. They’ve not been able to conceive again since after that one. The husband walked out of the house and marriage.

The wife lost her job in the bank where she worked and couldn’t afford to take care of her special child and pay the rents too. Yet, not for once was she harassed to pay up her outstanding debts…what an understanding management. Eventually she left on her own.

Coincidentally, that morning I had passively read from the scriptures where Naomi was lamenting about going out with a husband and sons and returning empty and incapacitated. Immediately I just knew this is what God was warning about earlier today.

To all of you house hunting in Lagos, please be careful, watchful and very vigilant. Never step out to see a property without praying your spiritual antennas up to the max. There’s a lot going on out there. Y’all be safe tho. Just thought I should share 🤍🕊️
