Give Ebuka Obi His Flowers…
He’s not my type but he has inspired me to think home…
I don’t believe in certain practices associated with his brand but he has proven that South East is not as unsafe as social media makes it look.
Because of him, many disaporans will think home. That’s true influence.
I don’t need to hate someone just because I don’t believe in their religious practices or political persuasion.
And appreciating someone for a specific reason doesn’t also imply that I subscribe to the entirety of their practices.
Maturity is realising that everyone will never agree on everything at everytime.
That’s why I also wish that people understand some of us who are considered a bit Controversial. You don’t need to love Charles Awuzie or what he’s doing to give him his flowers when he deserves them.
You don’t need to love or believe in Dr. Abel Damina to give him his flowers as a man who is truly challenging the status quo.
That’s why I’m giving Ebuka Obi his flowers today.
