Joseph Jo Mersa Marley, grandson of raggae icon, Bob Marley and the son of Stephen Marley has passed on.
He was found unresponsive in a vehicle in the United States on Tuesday.
The deceased have reportedly suffered from asthma his entire life and according to the Florida radio station WZPP, he died of asthma attack at the young age of 31.
Mark J. Golding, a Jamaican politician, the opposition leader and the president of People National Party mourned Jo Marley’s death on Twitter.
He wrote;
“I have just learned of the tragic loss of Joseph ‘Jo Mersa’ Marley, a talented young reggae artist, Son of Stephen Marley and grandson of Bob Marley at only 31 years.
The loss of a child is a devastating blow no parent should face. My condolence to Stephen and the entire family”.
