For all our humongous population,majority of our people are poor and cannot boast of a decent disposable income at the end of the month for no fault of theirs.
How can they boast of disposable income when majority of Nigerians at the moment are spending 99% of their income on food because of Buhari?
Mean while US residents spend less than 6% of their own income on food showing how cheap food is over there.
Between citizens that spend 6% and the one that spend 99% on food, which one do you think will have disposable income at the end of the month?
When you spend 99% of your income on food, it means you have also consumed the spare money you would have used to buy premium brands like this.
Hence the brand has to innovate by introducing sachet.
At the moment, The Nigerian market is killing premium brands and the next government after this failed one has a big job to do from 2023.
The fact that premium brands cannot come here and flourish because we don’t have the market even with our population is truly terrifying.
And the first step to address this problem is to tackle the issue of insecurity, go after Fulani herdsmen preventing our farmers from going to the farm at the moment.
More importantly, see how to provide Nigerians access to cheap food, regardless where it is produced, it should be cheap for Nigerians to buy.
This alone will free up disposable income and businesses that offer other services that is not food will boom but we are not ready yet.
