Popular American singer, Mariah Carey is currently in state of mourning as he loses Both mother and sister.
Mariah confirmed that her mother, Patricia and her sister, Alison both died on the same day.
On Monday, The Multiple Grammy Award winner revealed this information in a statement. However, she did not disclose the cause of their death.
In her words;
“My heart is broken that I have lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I was blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed”.
Before her death, Mariah Carey’s mother, Patricia, a famous Opera singer, collaborated with her daughter.
Mariah has previously noted that her mother served as the catalyst for her musical endeavors.
Alison, Mariah’s sister, maintained an estranged relationship with her. Mariah disclosed in her memoir that she found it emotionally and physically safer to avoid any interaction with her sister Alison and her brother, Morgan.
Their father, Alfred Roy Carey died in 2002 after battles with cancer.
