I had an emergency today that required me dashing out of the house very early this morning. I stopped a bike that will take me out of my street to the bus-stop where I can see a bus going to my direction.
I left the house with 3- N500 notes that’s N1500.
When we got to the bus stop. I handed the driver N500 note to collect N300 change.
The driver asked me if I have N100. I said no. Just 2- N500 note left in my purse. Then I opened my purse and showed him. Remember he was supposed to give me N300 change. Next, he asked me to give him 1 of the N500 notes in my purse.
I handed it to him and he gave me 4-N200 notes. (N800)
I collected it.
😵💫😵💫 i was like which kind wahala be this.
I boarded a bus there and I was wondering the mathematics that just happened. I brought out the money notes and I was doing calculations and soliloquizing.
“Like did this man cheat me?”
“What did he do?”
“Why didn’t I stand there for him to break it down”
“Is my money complete?”
I was talking and asking myself.
After like what felt like eternity, say 3mins later. I understood the mathematics and did the mago mago calculation in the way I’d understand.
I said.
If he gave me my N300 change and I added it to the N1000 already in my purse that will be N1300.
Since he gave me 4-N200 notes that’s N800. Add the N800 to the N500 already in the purse. That’s N1300. 😁😁😁😁
