I don’t know anyone who didn’t love Sean Kingston when he came on the music scene in 2007.
It was his Reggae/R&B sound for me. It was different, yet appealing.
Looks wise, there was nothing particularly striking about his appearance.

At a time when fans were obsessed with hot teen sensations like Chris Brown; a plus-sized, ordinary-looking, half-Jamaican teen took the world by storm with ‘Beautiful Girls’.
It was purely talent speaking.
His debut self-titled album was loaded with bops, including Me Love, Take You There, There’s Nothing (ft Paula Deanda). I love this last song till date.
He repeated the same magic in his second album titled ‘Tomorrow’. It had bangers like Fire Burning, Face Drop, War.
After miraculously surviving a fatal jet skiing accident, he returned with his 3rd album ‘Back To Life’.
It spun the hits ‘Beat It’, ‘Seasonal love’, ‘Letting Go (Dutty Love)’ ft Nicki Minaj, others.
He had a solid 3 album run before he fell off.
As a featured act he shone on songs like “Eenie Meenie” with Justin Bieber, Natasha Bedingfield’s “Love Like This”, lots of them.
Truth be told, Kingston’s music catalogue is cool. He could do hip hop, reggae, R&B and even EDM.
What contributed to his fall?
Serial scamming and quest for luxury beyond his means.
Kingston and his mother would use his celebrity status to deceive business owners.
Car dealers, jewellers, furniture makers, hotels, caterers, banks, fell victim to them.
For instance, he would convince car dealers to give him their vehicles and fiam! He’d remain unreachable. I mean, expensive automobiles like Cadillac Escalade.
One time he signed a contract with a private jet broker to buy a plane for his tour, with a three-day payment deadline.
He flaunted the plane on IG without paying a dime.
He ghosted and blocked the company, refusing to pay.
His home was a stash house for stolen furniture, from a custom bed to hi-tech electronic gadgets.
That’s how he pimped his house with a 232 inch TV obtained from scam. Imagine the size. Man’s taste though…
Clearly, he learnt from the best – his mother.
As there was a time she was posting photos of dishes she didn’t cook for her food truck business.
She was blocking those who brought it up in the comments, until the real chef exposed her.
These guys were also defrauding banks and writing false cheques.
The long and short of it is that last year they were indicted on federal wire fraad charges for defrauding businesses of over $1 million.
If convicted they face up to 20 years in prison.
So in case you’re wondering where o’l boy has been, karma is closing in on him and his mother.
All because of fake life.
