‘IF NA SANER CLIME’
Let me share some personal experiences I had in three different countries this week so one or two persons can learn from them.
- Just this afternoon, I found myself in a quaint shop in Belgium, where I gently tapped a wòman on the shoulder to ask her to clear the walkway. To my delight, she smiled graciously and stepped aside without a word.
- A couple of days ago, I had a similar experience at a gym in the Nètherlands. As I was trying to navigate through the crowded space, I tapped a làdy to signal her to move aside. She smiled back and said, “Oh, sorry!” before moving out of the way.
- Earlier this week, I was exploring Oxford Street in London, known for being one of the busiest shopping destinations. In that bustling environment, I found myself needing a bit of room. I tapped a few people on the arm, politely asking them to let me pass, and interestingly enough, some of them tapped me back to do the same!
All these happened in the countries you guys refer to as “saner climes”. And they all happened this week. Not last week, THIS WEEK!
It’s fascinating how these everyday interactions happen; they’re simply part of the hard work and bustle of city life.
But honestly, where do you guys get all these ridiculous interpretations and gender spins from?
It’s hard to believe that a simple tap on someone’s shoulder to request they clear a path could ever be misconstrued as anything inappropriate, let alone a form of sèxual harássment!
Make una take am easy na.
Stop supporting ìnsane behaviours 😆
That UNIZIK girl deserved what she got.
Perhaps, if she had shown remorse and properly apologised to the lecturer and the school authorities, she would have been forgiven and given a second chance.
Unfortunately, she didn’t. She did not get good home training, and now she has to start all over again. That’s the unfortunate repercussion of her bad actions.
I don’t celebrate her expulsion from school but I don’t have any sympathy for her.
This would serve as a monumental deterrent for others. We can’t continue to encourage unruly behaviour amongst our youths.

As for her supporters, Una go dey alright!
Selah!
