What a simple man, even in death…
Pa Mike Ejeagha, the legendary folklorist was buried 24hrs after his demise because he had instructed his family to do so when he passes on.
He had asked also that no celebrations or unnecessary funfare be observed.
It takes someone who has a deep understanding of life to make such wishes.
Like Shakespear said, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players, ” the vainnesss of life beclouds its emptiness, making many think that beyond your last breath, there is substance. There is none.
When you close your eyes at your final hours, it ends. A new chapter devoid of your time on earth begins. So, at your exit, be fair and leave less burden on your loved ones.
Pa Ejeagja understood this and examplified it. May his beautiful soul rest in peace.
Amen!
